Ryun (Ryu) grew up with the creatures and animals of the rocky place of his birth. He quickly grew to cherish the animals around him and befriended the scorpid Sarkoth instead of killing it. As such he has never been considered a true troll, more open to protecting life than ending it. Though Ryu is not beyond bringing massive performance to his ability to kill when others nearby are in peril.

Ryu's current goal in life is to be able to meet Saber once more. Her ghostly form haunts his dreams with such regularity that he feels driven to meet her. Her warmth sheltered him when he was stolen by the night elves, and her ghostly pelt offered warm comfort to his dreams.
