About:
Lyear is a reasonably typical blood-elven mage; manipulative, power-hungry, mildly condescending to lower ranked mages, non-mages and non-Sin'Dorei. When not spending his time researching his craft or setting fire to things with said craft, he can usually be found at a nearby tavern looking for Blood Elven women to get to know better.

Additionally, he is nearly always under the influence of bloodthistle. If not, Lyear is irratable at best and moderately insane at worst. Though he doesn't talk about the matter to anyone, Lyear also hears voices; seldom are the voices familliar and rarely the same voice twice. These "hallucinations" appear more often when he is beginning to show signs of withdrawal (which Lyear always remedies with great haste), though will come from time to time even while under the influence.

Over the years, to combat the withdrawals from magic in general (in addition to the bloodthistle), Lyear had begun tattooing runes onto his body. His early runes are crude; blurry borders and terrible scarring. However, as time went by, he's perfected his technique and his most recent, an arc-like pattern around his right eye and over the same cheek, is without a stray mark or careless cut.

He was forced to use his face simply because he ran out of room on his chest, arms and legs.

As a result, Lyear is very mindful of his choice of apparel, preferring high collared robes with gloves. Outwardly, Lyear is generally upbeat and honorable; the latter more a conscious decision so people will trust him. You can shear a sheep many times but can only skin it once.

Currently, he has been assigned to Dalaran to assist with both the magi there, as well as improve the Blood Elven standing within the Violet Citadel. Lyear maintains a residence and office within the citadel towers, though can often be found at one of the city's many taverns when not on official business.
