So I actually signed up on a dating site, since I'm going to hit the 10 year anniversary of being omgwtfsingle and I'm trying to find someone who will put up with a gamer. Is there ever a good way to break that I play a priest with a big guild on tues/thurs during the week?

I'd like to say there is a good way to bring up other commitments to a new date... but there just isnt.. Whether its your commitments to gaming or your commitments to family. Maybe I'm a bit jaded, but.. I find some women dont like guys to have any other commitments but them.. Not most, but some.

As was said above, the easiest is to find a girl that games so she will also have those type of commitments but that is much easier said then done lol There seem to be many more then there use to be.. but still arent enough to go around apparently <.< lol

My girl isnt a gamer. More then that she hates Wow, though I contest that she hasnt given it enough of a chance. She refuses to play it. Early on in our relationship, I avoided the topic, as much as possible. I did most of my gaming when she was away, work, sleeping, etc.

Even now.. if I'm in Wow, odds are pretty good she is busy elsewhere. If she is around I try to involve her in my plans. If she isnt interested in my suggestions then we do things separate, yet still together, so we can talk etc. For instance, she plays with the Wii, or PS3 or watches tv in the same room while I play Wow. It's not a perfect solution but it is a type of compromise. So.. you can make a relationship work without finding a gamer but it does take work on your part.

Make sure to include that you are a wookie in your profile or they might be shocked when they meet you.

Meeting another gaming chick would be win. Or at least one who accepts the life long commitment. It just proves you aren't afraid of commitment, right?
