Aeturnas Trinitas Lore Overview

For two years the Order of Aeturnas Trinitas had built a reputation of infamy and fear in the people of Silvermoon. It was well known that their Imperator, Avenal Lightbearer, had intense loyalties to Kael'Thas and had built an entire church and religion around her living god. But Avenal over reached in her ambitions, and in her efforts to unlock an ancient prophecy, three lords, two of a legacy house, lay dead in her wake. The retribution was swift.

In a climactic battle, the forces of Silvermoon, led by Ulian Silverleaf, managed to capture Avenal and defeat her expeditionary forces in the fields of Feralas. Despite a desperate rescue attempt led by Avenal's Knight Captain, Tonatiuh, the Imperator was murdered in her cell, and her Knight Captain had gone missing, presumed dead.

In the chaos that followed in the ranks of Aeturnas Trinitas, three Lictors rose to prominence and laid claim to portions of the Order's forces.

Lictor Deathgore founded the Knights of the Shadow's Guard, and were sponsored by the Hand of Vengeance and Undercity. Deathgore used Mordecaii's cursed elixir to facilitate the invention of the Forsaken's new weapon against the Scourge.

Lictor Lyear founded the Tiresian Order and were sponsored directly by Aethas Sunreaver of the Kirin'Tor and Sunreavers. His long service to Rommath had made him a key choice by the Sunreavers to be their eyes and ears in the battle against the Scourge, freeing Dalaran to focus on Malygos and the Blue Dragonflight.

Lictor Nolaris, a champion the Knights of the Ebon Blade, brought his own knights into Aeturnas Trinitas, the Knighthood of the Iconoclasts. Nolaris' arrived with a cabal of death knights and immediately became an extension of the Knights of the Ebon Blade in the Horde's ranks.

To command the three Knightly Orders in their charter, Chieftain Thrall appointed a new Imperator. Anakh Wintersong, former physician to the Sunstriders, and one of Aethas Sunreaver's trusted captains. Anakh has already begun cleaning house and working to rebuild the reputation of the ill fated Order of Aeturnas Trinitas.

Now that the port to Northrend is secure, the three knightly orders of Aeturnas Trinitas, travel to the frozen north to upset the power of the Scourge, and claim new lands and glory.
